If only we had more leaders who had this simple common sense approach.
One of my first Battalion Commanders in the Army had this EXACT same mentality…the kind of guy we need leading troops fighting Muslim extremists in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Needless to say after he made Col. he didnt make it into the upper echelons of General…His direct approach and “tell it like it is” personality would not make him a good General.
Sad. But, that is the direction the military is headed and we wonder why the incident in Ft Hood happened…
