imageI’ve watched this little girl grow up.  She’s spent half of her weekends over the last 10 years at my house.  She’s not related to me but she calls me Uncle.  She was just a wee little thing when our families first met so its been a while.  I even had to spank her once.  She still tells stories about it.

Today though, she has another story to tell.

Go Here and read what Ms Samantha has to say.

What a brave and well written post for a young lady in high school. I’m terribly proud of her and I’m just her “uncle”.

In her posts she says, “I just need to realize that God is in control, and trust Him.”

Darlin, you have more faith in God than any two people that I know.   I will pray for you though.  Just like I have every night for the last 10 years.

I wasn’t much older than Samantha when my headaches started, leading to a lot of tests that ended up showing my tumor, so I can relate to all the poking and prodding she is going through, and the fear and uncertainty that she is facing. Like her, I had great family and relatives who cared about me and made sure I got the right doctors and treatment. I hope she gets some good news soon and will add my good vibes for her!

She sounds like an amazing young woman, Jinksto. I will definitely include her in my prayers.

I’d like to suggest a possible, non-traditional avenue for her to check into – Reiki Therapy. It’s an energy healing idea and I’ve had several sessions with a therapist. I can tell you it made a huge difference in how I felt and my attitude. The therapist called it ‘degunking’ and that’s what it felt like. I don’t believe, however, that it’s sanctioned by the Catholic Church, if that is important. My therapist would always invoke the angels and archangels to help. It made a difference.

Thanks to all for the extra prayers and vibes. Samantha is one terrific young lady. And Tommy is right. She has the kind of faith that can move mountains. May God think that this is a mountain she should be moving! Amen

    Thanks for sharing this Tommy.
And Samantha, you have a whole new family out here in blogland praying for you now.
First, I hope it’s not MG.
But if it is, we’ll all pray for research to soon figure a way to kick its ass.
    Keep your great attitude gal…
That’ll help keep your immune system working on all 8 cylinders!
(And God DOES answer prayers, you know that.)
