15 years ago I rescued a puppy from a garbage dumpster.  Tonight she died.

She was the only dog that I had that would bite kids.  I’ll miss her.

RIP Bailey.

Good Dog.

I’m so sorry, Jinksto. It is so very hard to lose a good friend.

You’ll be in my thoughts and Bailey will be waiting for you at the Rainbow Bridge.

Man, I don’t know whether to laugh or cry… bit kids?
We take on the responsibility of caring for them knowing they’ll die in 15 years or so. Then we feel such pain. Why do we do it?

She was lucky to have you TJ.

It’s a learning moment. Kids need to learn that not all dogs are nice and that if you approach them too quickly or too aggressively you get bit. Showing them is the best way to do that. 🙂

Besides, if I lock the dog known to bite in my bedroom when kids are here they’re much less likely to open that door.

Hey – I am so sorry for your loss. She’s a great dog and in a much better place now. Do you need anything?

Well, we are very sorry for your loss. We will always remember her fondly. We learned a lot from her as we prepared to get our own dogs. 🙂
