For my friends in Charlotte proper.

This gentleman organized the Charlotte Tea Parties and has a very conservative view.  If you’re in Charlotte consider him when you vote in the upcoming election.  Make your own decisions of course but check out his ideas on http://matthewridenhour.com while doing so.

Sad state of affairs. I got an email from Matt earlier that said that his website was hacked TWICE yesterday. Gotta love those democrats.

Further details from Matt. This is very sad.. but as he notes, it means his message is getting out there and somebody’s not liking it.

    Good morning, friends,

Yesterday my website was hacked, twice. The first time it was down from about 10am until 2pm, and then again in the evening. Both times it completely crashed the website. Our Technical Adviser, Jeremy Draxler has been sorting through the logs, and has confirmed that it was a malicious, intentional hack. What does this mean? It means that our campaign is making some people very nervous. Nervous enough to not just pull up dozens upon dozens of my yard signs, which they have, but also pushing them to the point of hacking my website. We will not be intimidated.

My message of fiscal conservatism, limited government, and personal responsibility has really been well-received in recent weeks. Many times I have received emails from Independents and Democrats saying, “I like your message and your background, you’ve got my vote”. That is very encouraging as we head into the final weekend. We have a mailer going out today, reaching out to very specific voters in targeted precincts. This weekend our robocall will reach out to tens of thousands of Charlotte voters. The energy surrounding this campaign is exciting, and I hope you can feel it!

We have much work to do for victory on Tuesday. There are TWO things I am asking for:

    1. Please vote “Matthew Ridenhour” on Tuesday

    2. Please forward this email on to 10 (or more!) of your friends, along with a personal recommendation. I need you to forward this on so that my message and news of my candidacy spreads to as many people as possible before Tuesday.

We are still in need of about 8 more volunteers on Tuesday to work the polls. If you can work from 7am-10am, or 4:00pm-7:30pm (or both shifts), please let me know. Having workers at the polls is a guaranteed boost in number of votes.

Thank you for your continued support and words of encouragement. They keep me going on the tough days, and I am grateful for each one of you. I hope you have a blessed day.

    Your friend,

    Matthew

I firmly believe the only way we can reform this mess is to ignore the fact we’ll be helping the Democrat candidates in the short run by voting Independent/Libertarian.
And truly, with the Repub candidates we’ve been forced to hold our nose and vote for, we’ve been voting for Democrats anyway!

I’ve long been an advocate of voting for the person rather than party so that’s not such a big stretch for me. Matt lists himself as a Republican I think but having heard him speak he’s a true conservative on every important point.

I think we need to find more people like him and vote for them at EVERY level. Not just the national level. We forget too often that while the US Congress may throw our money around that money usually gets spent at the city or State levels. Local Government is just as important as “the big” elections.
